How do I take part?

Thank you for your interest in the World Diabetes Day 2007 Geocoin Challenge.

Q: How do I get a WDD 2007 Geocoin now?

A: For your chance to grab one of the first 1500 WDD 2007 Geocoins register here and you will be sent one. These are available to the first 1500 people to register.

Q: I missed the first 1500 WDD 2007 Geocoins to be released, how can I get one?

A: 3500 further coins will be available at monuments across the globe that will be lit on 14 November to celebrate the first UN observed World Diabetes Day in 2007. Find out where your local monument is and turn up to get your Geocoin.

Q: How do I activate the Geocoin?

A: If you search for your Tracking Number (the six digit number on the coin), you will find that it has already been activated.

Q: How do I get the Geocoin into my inventory?

A: Follow these simple steps and you will be all set…

  1. Log into this page http://www.geocaching.com/track/
  2. In the field type the Tracking Number and click the Lookup button.
  3. In the top right corner of the resulting page, click the link in the Trackable Item Options box called Add a log entry.
  4. From the Type of log drop-down select "Grab it from somewhere else".
  5. Enter any optional comments you wish and click the Submit log entry button.
